I've recently discovered Fusebeads. I love them. Very relaxing and stress-relieving. These are some of the things I've made so far. Some straight from patterns, other varied from patterns, and a few of my own. I've also made bows and wings hair clips/pins and fandom badges and will probably post them later.
I use Perler brand fusebeads. I've heard the ones at Walmart (I believe they just call them "melty beads") don't melt right so I've been afraid to try them. Anyone try them before?
I've also really been into Kandi bead jewelry lately. I haven't made a a whole lot of them yet though. I might post some eventually.
I just keep ironing until I don't see the holes (or they are so tiny that they are barely visible). Sometimes you have to use the tip of the iron and press against areas where holes are still visible and that seems to melt them better. I think on the instructions it says iron it for like a minute or two only but I usually iron a bit longer than that.
When im mad or frustrated I do perlers and it helps me calm down epecially when listning to music.
I've tried Melty Beads before, and DO. NOT. GET. THEM. Seriously, half the beads were unusable, either because they melted in the bucket, or I don't even know what's wrong with the rest of them. Their pegboards are fine though.
I recommend Perler Beads. They come in a billion different colors, and there are hardly any messed up beads! (Like I found one bead that was half the normal size once, and I found a yellow bead in my bag of black ones XD) Hama beads are really good too, I don't use them but pretty much everyone else does XD
Hope I helped!
